Heart of Detroit Team Leader,

Team leaders will confirm with TYC that they will be a leader and if they will walk for The Youth Connection
Team leaders are asked to raise a minimum of $300.00 in donations
Team leaders can walk or sponsor a TYC youth to walk but raise the donations
Team leaders are asked to recruit ten or more team walkers/runners & raise a minimum of $3,000/team

NOTE: Each walker/runner is asked to identify a goal amount that they will raise
(suggested minimum $300.00)


You MUST register online or by mail:

1. Click here to register online. In order to walk/run/wheel, you must register with the Heart of Detroit.

Please note the $3.25 processing fee applied to each online registration.

Be sure to select "The Youth Connection" from the
'HOD Charity Teams' drop-down menu at bottom of Registration Page.

Complete a TYC Heart of Detroit Registration Form each walker/runner/wheeler on your team.· Click here to download a copy. Enclose a check made payable to 'The Youth Connection.'

Give each walker/runner/wheeler the following forms:

Tax deductible form to give to those whom donate

All funds collected should be returned to the Youth Connection (Dr. Grenaé Dudley).

5.

We would appreciate a status report prior to the race which will encourage you, as the Team Captain, to be in touch with all those raising funds for The Youth Connection.

 

 

WALKER PLEDGES/DONATIONS

Step 1: Team Leaders and the Walkers on their team will solicit for donations/pledges for The Youth Connection and complete a Pledge form.

NOTE: Each walker is asked to identify a goal that they will raise with a suggested minimum of $250.00


Step 2: Team Leaders and their Walkers will then collect the donations/pledges.  Donations can be by cash, check, or on-line.

Step 3: Team leaders will keep track of what their team is raising and report in hand donations to TYC on:

  • May 4, 2012
  • May 25, 2012
  • June 15, 2012
