After-School Program Providers Identify System Weaknesses in a Brandeis University Study.
In 2007, at the request of The Youth Connection and The Skillman Foundation, Brandeis University conducted an assessment of the original TYC Tracking System called EZReports Web-based After-School Reporting System.· This assessment identified weaknesses/barriers impeding use of the original system such as:
Reporting options too limited
Limited ability to do goal-tracking & comparison reporting.
Limited ability to track impact and/or program effectiveness.
Inability to store and retrieve attendance data for multiple years.
Limited resources to address technical problems.
Difficult to navigate screens and extensive training needed because of complexity of system.
